LCDA Website News - Sites 2008

We hope you all had a good Christmas and wish you all the best for the New Year

We are pleased to announce that the Sites List for 2008 is now online

For those of you who got Sat Nav's for Christmas, all of the 2008 sites are available as a POI file for Tom Tom GPS units. If you would like the file in any other format please let us know and we will see if we can convert it for you. The file is available at http://www.lancsandchesda.co.uk/gps/LCDA%202008.ov2.

And as usual we are always looking for more content for the website, so if you have visited any of our meets and would like to write a small review about the meet, or have some photos, or anything else you wish to say about the DA, please let us know.

LCDA Website News - Marbury Country Park

Hi again everyone,

After receiving the newsletter today, Graham our site secretary, has asked me to remind you that the meet at Marbury Country Park (Fri 30th March - Sun 1st April) is a booked meet due to size limitations of the site.

For anyone who hasn't been, this site is a lovely venue and there are some great walks around the area. The park is full of wildlife and there is also a gentle walk down the canal to the Anderton Boat lift.

LCDA Website News February 2007

Hi again everyone,

We hope the New Year sees you well, and that you are getting ready for the camping season ahead

As some of you may have realised we had a slight hiccup on the website, and it was taken offline for a week or so. Whilst it was offline, I thought it's about time we had a change of scenery, and now I am happy to announce that we are up and running again, with a shiny new look!.

The Sites List for 2007 is available on the site, but if you want a printed Fixture List you will need to contact one of the committee members.

For the Sat Nav users, all of the 2007 sites are now available as a POI file for Tom Tom/CoPilot. If you would like the file in any other format please let us know and we will see if we can convert it for you. The file is available at http://www.lancsandchesda.co.uk/gps/LCDA%202007.ov2.

As always we are looking for website content so if you can think of anything at all you would like to see on the website, or if you would like to send us a review or pictures, or basically anything that might be interesting for members please let us know. It would also be nice to have some feedback on the new look site too ;o)

The meet at Skipton Auction Mart (20-22 Oct) has been cancelled. No alternative venue has been arranged.

The Halloween meet at Elm Cottage (27-29 Oct)has been cancelled and we have arranged to join Roch Valley DA at Hamilton House Farm, Please see the website for details.

LCDA Website News April 2004

Hi everyone,

Well the 2005 season is now underway and we hope you have your caravans, tents, motorhomes, and trailer tents ready for this coming season.

We have already had a few good meets this year including our First Meet at Elm Cottage, and the Easter Meet at Silverdale, but if you missed them don't worry we still have some great meets in the planning, and you can see some photos of these events on the website.

Planning for our Midsummer Meet in June is well underway, with stalls, entertainment and lots more and hopefully we will even be having a Pantomime! Don't forget the theme is 'Christmas In June' so dig out the Christmas Decorations and decorate your van with tinsel n lights!!

We still have a couple of places for this weekends meet at Marbury, so if you want to join us contact Peter or myself on 01925 270574 ASAP.

There are still places left for the Whit Friday Band Contest at Well I Hole, so if you don't fancy the regional meet or prefer the sounds of a Brass Band give Geoff a call on 01706 525734. For more details about the band contest visit http://www.whitfriday.brassbands.saddleworth.org/.

Unfortunately our August Bank Holiday Meet has been cancelled by Ilkley Rugby Club, but keep an eye on the website for updates on an alternative.
