Venue: Skipton Auction Mart
We arrived about noon on Friday to find a carpark still full of cars and one other caravan. This caravan was infact the stewards for the Caravan Club Meet (Long story, but the Auction Mart had double-booked!).
We pitched the van at the bottom of the car park, under glorious sunshine. During the afternoon we sat and watched various units arriving and slowly the cars in the car park was replaced with caravans. By the time night had fallen we were worried about how many more units we could fit in, but we managed in with a total of 21 units. We spent the rest of Friday evening in Eric and Mary's new caravan, that they had only collected earlier that day.
The sun was still shining when we awoke the next morning, and many went off either into Skipton or for a walk in the surrounding hills. For anyone who hasn't been to this site, it is within walking distance of Skipton either through the park or along the canal (although a few reported that the canal path was very muddy this year) and takes about 20-30 mins depending on walking speed

Saturday evening we all got together in the Hall (Many describe this has a canteen but by the time Mary, the social team and their helpers had finished puttin gup the decorations it looked great!!) It was a lovely evening with just some soft music, general chatting and don't forget 'Mr & Mrs'. Mary arranged an impromptu version of the TV show, and we would like to thank the contestants, John & Eunice Harrison and Geoff & Jackie Ogden, for the entertainment they provided us all. The evening ended with everyone saying they had had a wonderful time.
Sunday was a bit cloudy and the brisk Dales breeze was evident and as some people were packing up, others went off to do some more sightseeing and walking.
All in all it was a great weekend, even if it was bitterly cold, and it was wonderful to see members old and new along with the visitors from the other DA's.
I would also like to thank Mary for organising Saturday evenng, as this definitely made the weekend a little bit 'special'
