We recently received a letter from NECDA regarding the Volleyball Meet, 11th - 13th July 2008. :-
Dear Secretary
My name is Carol Smith and I am the secretary of the NECDA Volleyball Championships, I am also the steward and have been for more than 10 years.
The reason I am writing to you is to ask for help from your members who attend the meet. If we do not get any help for the working party, to prepare the site ie laying water around the site, setting up the courts, marking roadways to name a few, this could be the last Volleyball Meet.
The volleyball committee do not want this to happen, as I am sure those members who attend feel the same, could you please if you have a monthly magazine print this latter, any help will be gratefully accepted, we will need (if we manage to go ahead in 09) electricians.
The site opens for the working party on the Wednesday prior to the meet
WE NEED HELP, WE NEED YOUR HELP for these championships to continue.

For those who have never helped out at a working party, they can be great fun and really enjoyable time, in fact many of those who have done working partys have said they are often better than the actual meet!
If anyone does have any spare time, please think about helping out as it would be a great shame to lose this meet.
